Es wird die obere Holzschicht verbrannt um eine Schutzschicht aus Kohle zu erhalten. Fr\u00fcher wurde diese Methode verwendet um dem Holz bei Erdkontakt eine Schutzschicht bzw eine Sperrschicht zu bieten. Heutzutage entstehen ganze Geb\u00e4udefassaden aus angekohlten Holz. Im Fall von Rhombusleisten erh\u00e4lt man guten dauerhaften Holzschutz und eine schwarze, silber schimmernede Optik. Grunds\u00e4tzlich eignen sich alle heimischen H\u00f6lzer daf\u00fcr.<\/p>\n<p>Mittels einem Propangasbrenner oder einer Aceytylenflamme kann die Oberfl\u00e4che verbrannt werden. Die Oberfl\u00e4che kann in diesem Zustand belassen oder abgeb\u00fcrstet werden. Dies kann maschinell oder mit der Hand erfolgen. Je nach St\u00e4rke des Abb\u00fcrstens wird das Holz wieder heller und die Maserung kommt zum Vorschein. Das Holz kann danach auch noch mit speziellen Versiegelungen behandelt werden um die Kohleschicht dauerhaft zu erhalten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-229-1\"
